PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS, AND STORIES
1988 - 2005
During a personally tumultuous seventeen years, I told stories through art about the friends, family, neighbors, and strangers who posed for me. Some subjects came and went; others I was deeply attached to. I tried to saturate myself in “seeing and looking” at people to discover what they were feeling and trying to communicate. Some reflect sorrow, melancholy, helplessness and family discord; others express love, friendship, joy, and “oneness” with others. In all, this is a book about the people whose feelings and expressions I sought to capture. Although many are no longer with us, to me they are not gone. Some of their stories are here, in their faces, in their eyes, and I invite you to meet them.
Proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to charities that benefit animal welfare and rescue.
